The Columbia Poodle Club was incorporated on February 23, 1955 in the State of Oregon. Its officers were: Anna Young President, Donald Wertheimer Vice President, Dolores Haroun Secretary, L. D. Bain - Treasurer. Other members were: Mollie Skelton, Eileen Jones, Col. and Mrs. John Hamtilon, Loraine Sabo, and Mrs. George Goulich. According to the by-laws the purpose of the club was to promote the breed, foster and maintain friendship and encourage sportsmanlike conduct and to conduct sanctioned and licensed specialty shows under the rules of the American Kennel Club.
